The world view in this story is similar to Tolkien's. it doesn't deny the existence of God but the characters battle evil in their own strength rather than depending on God and there is no reference to the atonement. It denies the depravity of man. The writer is talented however and certainly knows how to write good fiction, just don't expect it to be Christian and do expect references to the occult. Because it started with a Bible verse making it seem Christian, I knocked off two stars. In writing ability alone, it would have gotten 5 stars.Product details

The best piece of fiction I have ever read! I enjoyed this story more than any other book I have read. I admit I was skeptical about the book jumping a generation from the previous, but H.M. Snow does it with class and style. While she may not hide exactly what is going on within the story at all times, it does keep you on the edge of your seat. This is the type of book that makes you love the journey you go on with Colin and Jarod. You will laugh, cry, yell, shout, and be completely satisfied with this second edition of the Last Book of the Kings series.
